Dear Fuente Nueva Families,

Welcome back! We are so excited to begin a fresh school year together—one filled with possibility, connection, learning, and promise. We know that every family brings unique traditions, experiences, and strengths to our community. These differences make Fuente Nueva stronger. We look forward to partnering with you, learning from one another, and creating a year where every child and family feels a strong sense of belonging. Here's what you'll need to know to start off strong!

Drop-Off

• Gates open: 7:45–8:45 AM | School starts: 8:30 AM
• Before Care: starts at 7:45 AM
• TK/K: classroom doors open at 8:15 AM. Please walk your child to their classroom — this is part of our TK/K culture and practice. Little ones should not wait outside alone.
• 1st–2nd: classroom doors open at 8:25 AM. Please wait with your child at the picnic tables, or send them to Room 7 if they're in Before Care.
• 3rd–5th: classroom doors open at 8:30 AM. Students are supervised by parents, Before Care staff, or in Room 8 on the playground until then.

Before & After Care / Enrichment
Many of you have already signed up for Before Care or our wonderful afterschool Enrichment classes. If you need afterschool care and haven't signed up yet, please email info@fuentenueva.org or use the Expanded Learning link on our website.

• TK/K Enrichment: 2:00–2:45 PM (Tues–Fri) and 1:30–2:15 PM (Mondays)
• TK/K Snack: 2:45–3:15 PM T-F, 2:15-2:45 Mondays
• 1-5th Enrichment classes (grades 1–5): 3:15–4:15 PM
• 1-5th Snack: 2:45-3:15
• Latest pick-up time: 5:30 PM

We recommend picking up younger students right after Enrichment, as they tend to get tired by day's end.

Pick-Up

• TK/K: 1:5 PM
• 1st–3rd:  2:45 PM
• 4th–5th:  2:55 PM
• Mondays (all grades, TK–5): 1:30 PM (early dismissal day for teacher collaboration and meetings)

Please be prompt when picking up your children.

Meals
Breakfast and lunch are free for all students, daily. If you don't need a meal and would rather bring one from home, please opt out on your ParentSquare forms or by emailing info@fuentenueva.org.

What to Bring
We provide most things your child needs, but a backpack and layered clothing are always helpful. For our younger students, an extra change of clothes can also come in handy.

Communication
Please watch for classroom newsletters on ParentSquare, if you haven't downloaded the app yet, we'd love for you to join us there this year to make sure you have all important communication! 

Saying Goodbye
First days bring up big feelings for everyone! We encourage short, sweet goodbyes so children can settle into their classroom with confidence and independence. If you'd like to join us for our whole school assembly, you're welcome to come by Wednesday or Friday at 8:40 AM this week. Parent seating is available at the lunch tables along the side wall.
