Fernanda Avalos Márquez | Pre-Kindergarten Teacher

My name is Fernanda Avalos Márquez; I am 33 years old and was born in Querétaro, Mexico. I have loved outdoor activities, exploring nature, and discovering new places since I was young.  Although I graduated as a public accountant, I always knew I didn't belong in an office in front of a computer; instead, I belonged in a school; sharing what I know with young children and learning from everything they have to teach as well. That is why I went on to earn a degree in early childhood education, followed by a master's degree in education.  For seven years, I worked as a preschool teacher in Mexico's public sector. I love teaching, and I sought the opportunity to do so in a different setting; one that would allow me to do what I love, face new challenges, and expand my skills and knowledge. I love interacting with people and getting to know them; I consider myself cheerful and optimistic, and I believe I have found a place that combines all my passions. I am very grateful to be part of the Fuente Nueva Charter School team, and I look forward to creating incredible experiences together by integrating cultures, particularly the English and Spanish languages.
