¡Bienvenido!

Fuente Nueva empowers K-5th grade students to become engaged world citizens through a challenging and creative Spanish immersion program that emphasizes academic excellence, the arts, community involvement, and social responsibility.

What is
Spanish Immersion?

Spanish immersion utilizes the natural, effortless way young children acquire language by surrounding them with Spanish through daily, core-academic instruction.

Spanish immersion is an educational approach where students naturally acquire the language by using it as the primary medium to learn regular academic curricula, play, and interact. Instead of relying on direct English translations, teachers use visuals and hands-on activities to deliver lessons, creating a dual-focused environment that builds fluency and cultural competency alongside core academic skills.

Classrooms

Building lifelong bilingual fluency through academic immersion.

Our students naturally acquire Spanish by studying all core subjects in the language. This proven immersion approach builds a strong foundation in Spanish literacy first, introducing formal English instruction in second grade.

 Expanded Learning Program

Fostering cross-age friendships and global cultural appreciation.

Our Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP), commonly known as our afterschool program, provides families with reliable care beyond regular school hours. Before Care is available from 7:45 to 8:30 AM, and Aftercare extends from dismissal until 5:30 PM, ensuring consistent supervision throughout the day. Students also participate in a variety of enrichment classes, including music, art, science, and sports, fostering growth, creativity, and engagement in a safe environment.

 Lunch Program

Nourishing bodies, Feeding curiosity.

Our school lunch program is committed to providing students with nutritious, thoughtfully prepared meals every day. Most of our food is made from scratch, using organic ingredients whenever possible and feasible, so students receive fresh, high-quality meals rather than heavily processed alternatives. Every lunch includes a vegetarian option, ensuring there's something wholesome for every student to enjoy. Once a month, we welcome a guest chef from within our community as part of "Viajes Culinarios" (Culinary Journeys), a special program that introduces students to cultural dishes from around the world. Through this initiative, we aim to nourish not only our students' bodies, but also their curiosity and appreciation for diverse cultures and cuisines.
